WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–Seventeen vendors from five different countries will make their debut at Accent on Design, the exhibitor space for design-led lifestyle and gift merchandise at the New York International Gift Fair.
The newcomers include acrylic from Japan; Canvas and Cardboardesign, both based here; Australia-based Designs Abroad; JapanC of New York; J Schatz, based in Greene, N.Y.; Joey Roth of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Kshocolat, based in the United Kingdom; Lovegrove & Repucci of Pottersville, NY.; Oscar Maschera of Italy; pico of Upper Montclair, N.J.; Japan-based sallbo design; Thelermont Hupton, based in the United Kingdom; TwistTogether of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Boston-based Vincent Reardon; Watchismo of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and United Kingdom-based W2 Products/Whitbread + Wilkinson.
In addition, three emerging designers will be showcased in A+: The Young Designers’ Platform, which also takes place at the gift fair. Introduced in February as an “incubator” for new designers and innovations, A+ will showcase Diane Ruengsorn, founder of Domestic Aesthetic of Queens, N.Y., which offers designs for home products; Heather Lins of Madison, Wis., who works on soft goods; and Stanley Ruiz of Brooklyn, N.Y., who designs for crafts, home accessories and furniture pieces.
