WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–A restructuring at GLM has created three teams headed by senior vice presidents Phil Robinson, Dorothy Belshaw and Lori Kisner, all of whom will report to Alan Steel, executive vice president of the trade show-management division of DMG Worldwide.
Robinson remains in charge of the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show and the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, and has added responsibility over the National Stationery Show & Supply Side, Surtex and the Gourmet Housewares Show, along with supervision of GLM’s operations department. Belshaw continues to oversee the New York International Gift Fair, and will now assume charge over the Canadian gift shows, the Boston Gift Show and the public-relations activities here. Kisner continues to be in charge of Surf Expo, and will now assume responsibility over the West Coast gift shows.
In addition, GLM has named Christian Falkenberg, a vice president, manager of the New York International Gift Fair, reporting to Belshaw. Penny Sikalis, another GLM vice president, has been appointed manager of both the Gourmet Housewares Show and Surtex, and manager of international sales for the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, reporting to Robinson. Lynn White has become manager of the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show, reporting to Robinson, and Anita Schachter has been named vice president of the Canadian gift shows, reporting to Belshaw.
In her new roles, Sikalis succeeds Susan Corwin on the Gourmet Housewares Show and Gina DeLuca on Surtex, both of whom have left GLM. Information on other executive changes was unavailable as of this morning.
DMG announced the restructuring, which included the termination of 31 positions at the White Plains office, last week. The restructuring also included the cancellation of both the Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor shows, both of which had been managed by Sikalis.
