LOUISVILLE, Ky.–Thomas Lighting, a division of Philips, will relocate its residential lighting headquarters to its existing, company-owned distribution facility in Elgin, Ill.
This move, slated to be complete in January, will allow Thomas to take advantage of organizational synergies and lower operating costs.
Thomas Lighting’s current headquarters, shared with Genlyte’s corporate headquarters, employs 28 people in all departments. The company has not yet offered relocation packages to employees, and it’s too early to tell how many people will make the move, according to a representative for the company.
