WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–The Tommy Bahama Home brand has added outdoor rugs to its roster via a licensing agreement with Trans-Ocean.
The line of rugs includes more than a dozen styles portraying the island-living look that has become the brand’s signature. One design even goes so far as to literally spell out the key words that define the Tommy Bahama Lifestyle, including “relax,” “paradise” and “vacation.”
Each rug is UV-stabilized and can be washed with a simple garden hose. Three grades will be offered: machine-woven, hand-tufted and a third using the Lamontage process created by designer Liora Manné who also designs rugs for Trans-Ocean. Suggested retail prices begin at $100 for the doormat and reach $500 for the larger-sized, Lamontage pieces.
The rugs are scheduled to be available at dealers nationwide this summer.
