-At an event here yesterday, the International Housewares Association offered a sampling of some new products that will be exhibited at the International Home + Housewares show in March.
The beverage category was hot, and several companies showed larger sizes of bottles and travel mugs, due to consumer demand. Cool Gear has a new 33-ounce travel can in several designs. Aladdin added to its Mason jar-style line several items, including a new 32-ounce portable Mason jar, now the largest size; it also showed its Cafe to-go water bottle, which is reminiscent of European water bottles. Contigo delved into the glass water bottle category with its first item, as well as added a tea diffuser accessory for its travel mugs.
Groupe SEB’s T-fal debuted the initial items of its first foray into gadgets and kitchen tools, due to its new partnership with Bradshaw International. They included the Rapid Chopper, the Pizza Cutter, Salad Servers and Zen Chef’s Knife.
Among KitchenAid’s new products were the KitchenAid Coffee Brewer, featuring automatic pour-over brew technology, and a juicer attachment for its iconic Stand Mixer … Pfeilring of America, a vendor of personal-care products, is bringing its Pfeilring and Wellner brands of kitchen cutlery and silverware to the U.S. market … Anolon is re-introducing cutlery into its assortment with Japanese steel in sets and open stock options … InterDesign’s new storage items included the Classico 8 Loop Scarf Holder and the Clarity 2 Drawer Cosmetic Organizer … Chef Pro will launch a pancake maker, a tortilla maker, a wet and dry grinder and new pepper mills.
One of Libbey’s launches was the Perfect Whiskey collection, a group of glassware shapes including one for bourbon, one for scotch and one for rye whiskey … Milen Products displayed the Wastepaper Basketball basket, which resembles a basketball hoop and is licensed with sporting-goods manufacturer Spalding … Hamilton Beach presented its 4-Qt. Collapsible Ice Cream Maker, which produces fresh ice cream and can be stored without taking up much cabinet space … Lifetime Brands debuted its new licensed line with Mossy Oak, a full line of beverageware, food prep, tabletop and home decor, all with a woodsy, camouflage feel … Kathy Ireland’s newest license was seen with Worldwise, a leading consumer pet products company; called Loved Ones the line is geared to match home decor.
