EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY–Spencer’s Gifts, the novelty retailer that caters to Generation Y, has embarked on a redesign of its 600-plus stores in a bid to “change with trends in pop culture and lifestyle,” the retailer said, in a statement.
The store redesign includes a new brick facade exterior with a street feel, and an interior designed to evoke a night club hideaway with dramatic lights and warehouse-like fixtures.
Spencer’s new design is featured in 130 prototype stores, or 20 percent of the retailer’s stores.
Spencer Gifts is headed by ex-Linens ‘n Things president Steven Silverstein.
