Byrne Back as Overstock CEO

SALT LAKE CITY-Patrick Byrne, Overstock.com’s chairman and CEO, has resumed his post after taking a medical leave.

Byrne, also the founder of the retail website, took his leave in February to be treated for cardiac issues thought to be associated with cancer treatments he had received years ago. Jonathan Johnson, former president of Overstock.com, was named acting CEO at that time.

Johnson has been nominated to stand for election to the Overstock board. If elected, Johnson will be appointed executive vice chairman.

Eisenberg Leaves Latex International

SHELTON, Conn.-Tomas Eisenberg, Latex International’s vice president of strategic marketing, has resigned from the company to pursue other interests, effective immediately.

Eisenberg’s responsibilities over international business development will now be assumed by Kurt Ling, president of the company’s Pure LatexBLISS brand. Ling’s appointment is part of an organizational change to Latex International’s brand management offices in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Shopko Tabs Cooper as Senior Marketing VP

GREEN BAY, Wis.-Michael Cooper has joined Shopko as senior vice president of marketing.

In his new role, Cooper is responsible for leading the retailer’s branding strategy and marketing initiatives. He reports to Jill Soltau, president and chief merchandising officer, and has succeeded Nancy Altman, who has left the company.

Before taking his new post, Cooper was with Office Depot in a number of executive positions, most recently as vice president of marketing. Prior to joining Office Depot, Cooper was with Accenture as a retail practice consultant.

Rizzy Home Appoints Hedrick Sales Manager

A rug industry veteran, Hedrick is the principal of Hedrick Enterprises, which most recently represented Karastan/Mohawk. He also previously served as president of Lifestyles USA, director of merchandising for Rug Studio and Smith & Noble and vice president of Bernsen’s Oriental Rugs.

Power Named Canadian Sales Rep for Capel

Karyn has been involved in medical sales for most of her career but added furniture and home decor to her portfolio last year when she joined Power Agencies.

Rizzy Names Barkley Regional Sales Manager

CALHOUN, Ga.–Rizzy Home has named Joe Barkley the Southeast & Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager, with additional responsibilities for national accounts. In this newly created position, Barkley reports to Mark Ferullo, Rizzy Home vice president, and will be headquartered in Rizzy’s facility here.

Peugeot Appoints Exec Team, Names Laugier General Manager

CHICAGO–In an effort to expand its presence in the U.S. market, Peugeot is now 100 percent owned by PSP SAS of France, with a new team in place dedicated to the Peugeot brand and to U.S. market growth. The new operation is based in Chicago and is being led by Yvette Laugier, who was named general manager.

Laugier previously served as national account manager at Taylor Precision Products. She reports to both Aymeric Geant, global sales and marketing director at PSP SAS, and Jean-Philippe Fornage, CEO of PSP SAS, both located at the parent office in France.
