iRobot Tabs Cerda to Lead Home Robots

BEDFORD, Mass.-Christian Cerda has been named senior vice president and general manager of the iRobot home robots business unit.

In his new role, Cerda is in charge of the unit, with a particular emphasis on building on iRobot’s domestic and international expansion and product development. He reports to Jeff Beck, the company’s chief operating officer, who previously held this position.

NEW YORK-The Museum of Modern Art has appointed Patrick Inverso director of marketing and communications for the MoMA retail division.

The museum has thus designated Inverso for the lead role in shaping the marketing strategy for the MoMA Design Store brand, and in developing programs to connect retail and wholesale channels to the museum. He oversees the creative teams across the catalog, advertising, merchandising and marketing categories, and works with museum curators to align the retail division with the museum’s overall mission.

Walmart’s Mars to Leave as Chief Administrative Officer

BENTONVILLE, Ark.—Tom Mars, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Walmart, will leave his post on March 13.

A Walmart spokesman declined to comment on the reason for Mars’ departure. He also did not comment on whether a successor has been named or if a search for a successor has begun.

Mars joined Walmart in 2002 as general counsel, responsible for the retailer’s legal department. He was named to his current position in 2009.
