ZURICH, Switzerland–Swiss company Art & Fragrance has purchased French luxury goods company Lalique S.A. from the Pochet group for 44 million euros. Art & Fragrance, which has produced and distributed perfumes and cosmetics, is now moving into crystal and jewelry production, and this purchase will allow it to “significantly boost growth, make headway in the prestige segment with its perfume brand portfolio and expand its activities in the luxury goods sector,” a statement said.
Silvio Denz, chairman of the board of directors of Art & Fragrance, now holds the same title at Lalique. “I am very pleased about the acquisition of Lalique with its loyal, highly qualified staff,” Denz said in a statement. “Lalique is set to quickly achieve attractive profits, thanks to sustainable investments and a consistent business approach. I firmly believe that Lalique will greatly profit from our competencies in global brand management, substantial potential synergies, and our proven track record and wealth of experience.”
