BALTIMORE–Foamex has unveiled a group of new product lines for the mattress industry at the ISPA Expo 2008 here, the convention held by the International Sleep Products Association.
The new lines reflect the foam manufacturer’s decision to make environmental, health and safety considerations a major company priority for both existing and new products. The first of these new programs, the trademarked Aerus Natural, is a family of high-performance and highly breathable memory foams using renewable materials in place of petroleum-based raw materials, and is made using Foamex’s proprietary Variable Pressure Foaming technology, which is virtually emission-free, according to a company statement.
The trademarked Foamex Natural Bedding is a system of engineered components designed to offer a complete turnkey mattress solution incorporating renewable resources. Drifast Performance Cushioning, a patented product, is an extension of the company’s Drifast line, and is also made with Variable Pressure Foaming technology. This creates enhanced air flow and durability in the foam, thus creating a more comfortable sleeping experience, according to the Foamex statement.
