HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.-Serta Simmons Bedding has appointed Michael Traub president of National Bedding Co., parent of the Serta mattress brand.
Traub, who had served as president and CEO of BSH Home Appliances’ North American operation, reports to Gary Fazio, CEO of Serta Simmons, in his new role. He will assume his post on Sept. 2.
The Serta presidency had been vacant since last October, when Bob Sherman left the company after 25 years in the post. Fazio has been carrying out the president’s duties since that time.
In a Serta Simmons statement, Fazio described Traub as “ideally positioned to lead Serta and continue to nurture the company’s strong culture. He will provide strategic leadership, thoughtful insights into innovation and help us deliver profitable growth across the entire Serta portfolio of brands.”
