TRINITY, N.C.–Sealy has formed an alliance with Dometic Corp., a marketer of products for leisure vehicles and trucks, on a collection of Sealy Posturepedic mattresses for recreational vehicles.
In addition, the mattress manufacturer has been named a finalist for the 2011 Jay Chiat Awards for Strategic Excellence, for its “Whatever You Do In Bed, Sealy Supports It” campaign for Sealy Posturepedic.
For the Dometic partnership, Sealy is introducing the Sealy Posturepedic 600 DSx Plush Euro Pillow Top RV mattress. The line will be available in 72-by-80-inch king, 60-by-80-inch queen and 60-by-75-inch RV-queen sizes. Similar to the Sealy Next Generation Posturepedic, all of the RV mattresses will be designed with the CoreSupport Center, titanium DS innersprings, LiftRight Surround handles and StayTight foundations.
The Chiat awards, sponsored by the American Association of Advertising Agencies, is comprised of 10 categories and 68 entries selected from 45 agencies around the world. Sealy is a finalist in the existing-brand category, along with Puma, Microsoft, Pepto-Bismol and Audi. The winners will be announced at the association’s Strategy Festival in New York City on Oct. 13.
