NEW YORK–The results of a survey sponsored by Sleep Studio and A-ha! Insights indicate that some consumers see mattress toppers as an answer to the support and comfort problems with their current mattresses.
Seventy-six percent of the 2,043 U.S. consumers who responded to the survey said they were familiar with toppers as an option for their mattresses, according to a joint statement from Sleep Studio and A-ha! Insights. In addition, 65 percent of the participants, whose average age was 45, said they are unhappy with their current mattress, and that 60 percent would more readily buy a topper rather than a new mattress.
The prime motivators behind the choice of a topper over a new mattress were adding comfort and providing a better night’s sleep according to the survey, cited by 38 percent of the respondents.
Sleep Studio markets mattresses, toppers and bed pillows made with patented ViscoFresh foam under the SleepJoy brand.
