TRADITINAL CHANDELIER
Murray Feiss
While it has offered product with natural materials, Murray Feiss has never used real wood in a fixture until the debut of the Madera collection. Made of ash, which is then stained, and with antique forged iron, this Madera chandelier brings a warm feel to any interior. “We have never used wood in a fixture before and we were extremely pleased with how this and the other items in the wood collection were received,” said Maria Scutaro, vice president of merchandising. “We are proud of the collaboration between our designer and our factory partner who helped us to make this piece a reality.” The collection contains another chandelier style and two sconces. feiss.com
OUTDOOR LIGHTING
Hinkley
Known historically for its outdoor lighting line, Hinkley has debuted the Kube, a modern, decorative option for dark sky applications. “The Kube was introduced to enhance our leadership position in contemporary outdoor lighting,” said Rick Wiedemer, president. “The unique features of the Kube include the concealed light source in the roof and the angled seedy glass allowing the light to flow from the top down through the glass, which creates primarily down light with style. The reaction at market was exciting as most showrooms are looking for new and different.” The Kube outdoor light is available in a 16-inch high wall mount, shown, as well as a 12-inch high wall mount and a six-inch-square one, and in three finishes. hinkleylighting.com
CONTEMPORARY CHANDELIER
Kichler
Simplicity is at the heart of Neptune Place, Kichler’s new contemporary collection that makes a dramatic statement with intersecting ovals. “The success of this family is due in large part to the interior, aesthetic transition that is now taking place,” said Jeff Dross, senior product manager. “The simple lines, contemporary feel and linear/lateral proportions respond to this shift in customer preference. The elegant demeanor of this design is juxtaposed with a casual subtext that allows it to work in today’s flexible home.” Available in a Colton Bronze finish, the collection includes 10- and six-light linear chandeliers, a small convertible pendant, a large pendant and a wall sconce. kichler.com
TASK LIGHTING
Bulbrite
A cute item that provides plenty of light, the Flip is one of bulb manufacturer Bulbrite’s first forays into portable lighting. Using LED technology, the Flip delivers the equivalent of a 75-watt incandescent desk lamp and will last up to 20 years, based on five hours of daily use. “We’re known for our expertise in LED bulbs and we’re going to expand the line to things that make sense,” said Cathy Choi, president. It delivers a soft, bright light similar to daylight, with a color temperature of 5000K. The LED panel can flip upward 110 degrees while swiveling 45 degrees horizontally. When closed, it stands 15 inches tall. Available in the early fall, it will be packaged in a turquoise and black box. Along with the Flip, the Flex and Slim also debuted as task lighting from Bulbrite. bulbrite.com
