DALLAS–Dallas Market Center has been named as one of the Top 100 Places Work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for 2011 by The Dallas Morning News. This year’s list of the best places to work in the area includes 25 large companies, 35 midsize companies and 40 small companies. Dallas Market Center, with 271 employees, is featured in the midsize companies category.
“It is an honor to be included in the Top 100 list,” said Bill Winsor, president and CEO, Dallas Market Center. “As we approach Dallas Market Center’s 55th anniversary, we celebrate the decades of success and our associates that make us the best wholesale marketplace.”
Dallas Market Center welcomes 200,000 buyers and conducts more than 50 trade and special events annually. Its corporate culture allows employees to dress casually during non-market weeks, listen to music as they work, get their birthdays off as paid holidays and more. Many associates have been with DMC for decades.
To qualify for the Top 100 list, a company must first be nominated by an individual. Once a company has been nominated, employees are asked to fill out a survey to gauge how they feel about their job and workplace. More than 1,100 companies were nominated for this year’s list.
