WESTBURY, N.Y.-Crystorama has announced the winners of its inaugural Showroom Stars contest, a merchandising promotion that invited retailers to post pictures of their Crystorama lighting displays on Crystorama’s Facebook page.
Living Lighting on King in Toronto won the grand prize— a $1,000 merchandise credit—for its display of Crystorama’s Broche fixture in a fashion-forward arrangement. The second place winner was Idlewood Electric Supply of Highland Park, Ill., which received a $750 credit for its display featuring several Crystorama chandeliers. Third place went to Chadwick Design Lighting of Sandy, Utah, which showcased Crystorama chandeliers in the Wet White finish; it received $500. Thirty entries were submitted by Crystorama’s retail partners for the contest, and its Facebook fans submitted more than 1,000 votes.
“We extend our congratulations and thanks to all of our retailers that participated,” said Brad Kleinberg, president of Crystorama. “It was a close competition, but in the end our Facebook fans spoke and chose their favorite entries.”
“Crystorama is such an inspirational company and the Showroom Stars contest is a good example of how the company is pushing the envelope on creativity with a Facebook page that is a daily breath of fresh air with relevant and interesting topics,” said Jodie Orange, owner of Living Lighting on King. “Winning the contest wasn’t in our expectations at all, but our display was a perfect fit for the Crystorama brand because it’s inspired by fashion, urban culture and romance, just like Crystorama.”
