CLEVELAND-Vitamix will host a free lecture by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, author and nutritional researcher, on how people can change their diets to eat better and live longer.
The lecture will take place here on April 18, at the State Theatre at Playhouse Square. Fuhrman will draw upon the principles of his “Eat to Live” plan, outlined in his book of that title, in which he describes how individuals can ward off disease through improved nutrition and healthier eating.
Fuhrman has made appearances on “The Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” CNN, The Discovery Channel, The Food Network and “The Dr. Oz Show.”
The lecture is part of Vitamix’s efforts to promote healthier eating. The housewares manufacturer has worked with the Healthy Cleveland organization on programs that have provided healthy smoothies to children at Cleveland city schools and recreation centers.
