CHICAGO–German cookware company Fissler is partnering with “Top Chef” contestants Michael and Bryan Voltaggio, who will demonstrate the ease of pressure-cooking at the International Home + Housewares Show.
At 2 p.m. on March 10 and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on March 11, the brothers will be at the Fissler booth, S-3011 in the South Hall at McCormick Place, to show attendees how to use Fissler’s line of pressure cookers, including the new Vitaquick line. Attendees will be able to meet the chefs after the presentations as well.
Both brothers appeared on the sixth season of “Top Chef,” making it to the top three, until Michael Voltaggio won the title. They have also both been nominated for James Beard awards: Michael for a Best New Restaurant award in 2009 and Bryan as Best Chef Mid-Atlantic in 2010. The Voltaggio brothers are fans of Fissler’s Blue Point pressure cookers, a release said, and Michael has been using Blue Point as well as the Vitaquick pressure cooker line in his new West Hollywood restaurant, ink.
In addition to the Voltaggio brothers, chefs Mike “Q” Kim and Lars Liebisch will also be at the Fissler booth to demonstrate the new Vitaquick line throughout the show.
