MONTREAL–Toastess will formally launch Multipot, its new brand of slow cookers, at the International Home & Housewares Show in March.
The first grouping in the new brand will include seven models, which will range in suggested retail price from $39.99 to $99.99. A Toastess statement said the line will be available for August shipping. Multipot slow cookers are designed with a smaller footprint, which “addresses the needs of today’s energy- and space-conscious consumer,” the statement said. They also offer functional controls on the tops of the cookers, rather than on the side.
Toastess said the slow-cooker category “has experienced significant growth over the last 15 years,” fueled by lifestyle changes including the need for time-pressed people to prepare hot, healthy meals. The recent trend toward cocooning and at-home entertainment has provided more push to the opportunities in this category, Toastess added.
