CHICAGO–Royal VKB and Bodum were among the product design winners for the Green Good Design 2010 award, organized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Royal VKB received the award for its Jar Tops, which allow consumers to reuse old jars by replacing the original lids with the product, designed by Jorre van Ast. The line includes a cocoa shaker cap, a sugar shaker cap, a long-handled cap, a creamer cap and an oil and vinegar cap.
Bodum won the award for its Crema Coffee Press, which features a minimal form made of stainless steel or plastic.
In its second year, the Green Good Design awards recognize sustainable design and are an offshoot of the Good Design program, founded in 1950.
