WEST ORANGE, N.J.–Rowenta will once again serve as the official garment-care provider for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week that began today at Lincoln Center in New York.
This will mark the fifth season that the iron and garment-steamer brand will provide the care for the apparel to be displayed during Fashion Week. Rowenta will furnish designers and backstage teams with the limited-edition Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Pro Master iron, which features a sleek European design and a patented microsteam soleplate to enable better steam distribution. The iron will be available to consumers by way of QVC during Fashion Week as well.
The brand will also provide Rowenta Precision Valet Garment Steamers and Rowenta Pro Iron Steam Stations for use backstage. The former is designed with a variable steam-control function that allows the user to adjust the steam level based on the type of fabric. The Pro Iron Steam Station provides “extraordinary steam pressure,” according to a statement from Groupe SEB, the brand’s parent company, that makes ironing faster and still provides professional results.
In addition, Althea Harper, designer and Rowenta’s “style ambassador,” has created custom iron-on templates for attendees to make their own T-shirts and tote bags.
