SADDLE BROOK, N.J.--Alvise Ricoveri, executive vice president of sales and marketing for De'Longhi USA, will become the companys managing director on Jan. 1.
Jim McCusker, currently De'Longhi USA's president, will stay on in that position through the International Home & Housewares Show next March. On April 1, McCusker will relinquish his role and Ricoveri will assume leadership of the company. McCusker will stay with De'Longhi USA in an advisory capacity through the rest of 2008.
In an interview with HFN, McCusker said this succession plan is nearly identical to the one planned for the company earlier this year, when Paolo Cravedi, then De'Longhi USA's executive vice president of sales and marketing, was named managing director. Cravedi resigned from De'Longhi in May, and later took the post of managing director for Kartell USA.
McCusker also said it has yet to be determined what title Ricoveri will assume when he takes full charge of the company. Ricoveri has been with De'Longhi for seven years, serving in various executive positions for the Italy-based parent company and the U.S. unit.
