WATERBURY, Vt.-Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR), parent of the Keurig single-serve brewing brand, has named Paul O’Brien president, Asia Pacific, a newly created position.
The move puts O’Brien in charge of managing GMCR’s business in that region, and he reports directly to GMCR President and CEO Brian Kelley. He has come to GMCR from Sara Lee Corp., where he served as managing director of the Kitchens of Sara Lee Pty. Ltd., based in Australia. Kelley said O’Brien has more than 20 years of experience in developing and implementing growth strategies in various international markets.
In addition, GMCR said Gerard Geoffrion, currently president of international development, will retire at the end of calendar 2014. Geoffrion joined GMCR in December 2010, when the company acquired Van Houtte, of which he was president and CEO. He was president of GMCR’s Canadian business unit until October 2012, when he was named to his current post.
