NEW YORK-Haan has unveiled its new HD-50 duo Steam Sweeper & Sanitizer, which combines a floor sweeper with a steam sanitizer.
The company formally presented the new product at an event here yesterday. With its combination of a sweeper and a steamer, the item eliminates the need to use a broom or vacuum before steam-cleaning the floor. It is designed with an agitator brush that revolves at 2,500 revolutions per minute, and with an automatic height-adjustment technology that enables it to be used on hard floors or any pile carpet or rug.
As with other Haan floor steamers, the duo uses steam heated to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. A company statement said steam heated to this temperature cleans 99.9 percent of germs and bacteria, without the use of chemicals.
