Lodge to Enter Stainless Steel, Silicone Categories at Housewares Show

SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn.-Having manufactured cast-iron cookware in the United States since 1986, Lodge Manufacturing is now expanding into stainless steel cookware and silicone accessories.

Launching next month at the International Home + Housewares Show, the stainless steel cookware will be part of a nine-piece set available in May. It will include a 1.9-quart stainless steel sauce pan with lid, a 3.4-quart stainless steel sauce pan with lid, an 8-quart stainless steel stock pot and a 3.3-quart stainless steel deep skillet with an interchangeable lid, a 10.25-inch cast-iron skillet, and a red silicone hot-handle holder. The cast-iron skillet is made here, while the stainless steel cookware, glass covers and silicone handle holder are made in China. The set will retail at $280.

“We decided to develop the set as a way to introduce Lodge cast iron to buyers, dealers and consumers who don’t traditionally buy or use our core brand but were interested in it—a powerful suggestion and introduction to Lodge,” Mark Kelly, marketing promotions manager, told HFN.

The new open-stock silicone group includes hot-handle holders, square trivets with Lodge’s logo and square pot holders—all available in four colors.
