LG Sets New Leadership in North America

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J.-LG Electronics has appointed new executives to lead its North America subsidiary.
Wayne Park has been named president and chief executive officer of LG Electronics North America, and will succeed the retiring Michael Ahn on Feb. 1, 2010. James N. Shad will assume the post of president of LG Electronics USA on Jan. 15, succeeding Teddy Hwang, who has been named executive vice president of global sales and marketing for LG Electronics Air Conditioning Co.
At LG Electronics Canada, Eric Agius, current chief operating officer of LG Electronics Canada, will become president on Jan. 1, succeeding William Cho, who has been named head of LG’s Australian subsidiary.
Previously, Park has served as executive vice president in charge of the Korean market for LG. Shad was LG’s executive vice president and chief go-to-market officer, responsible for developing customer and shopper practices throughout the world. Agius, who became LG Electronics Canada’s chief operating officer in April, came to the company after a 14-year career with Nike, most recently as president and general manager of Nike Canada.
