CLOSTER, N.J.–The Jura ENA 9 One Touch coffee center, introduced in the middle of last year, has won the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum.
The product won on multiple dimensions based on cutting-edge design, concept, materials, construction, utility, energy efficiency and sensitivity to the environment. It was picked by an independent panel of design professionals and industry specialists, which reviewed submissions from more than 30 countries, according to a statement by Jura-Capresso, the product’s manufacturer.
The ENA 9 measures less than 9.5 inches wide and combines one-touch convenience with space-saving design, Jura-Capresso said. It is the first in the Jura ENA line that makes cappuccinos and latte macchiatos—along with ristretto and espresso—at the touch of one button, without moving the cup. It uses whole beans and fresh milk, and includes an Aroma Boost button that makes extra-strong coffee or lungo at the press of a button
