Imusa Debuts At-Home Empanada Maker for Hispanic Heritage Month

MIAMI-To mark Hispanic Heritage Month, Imusa has launched what it describes as the first at-home empanada maker.

The new product presses and bakes empanadas without the need for oil or butter. It comes with non-stick cooking plates for easy cleaning, auto-lock clips and “ready” lights. It’s also designed for upright storage and with cord-wrap features, enabling it to be placed neatly in a cabinet.

Manny Gaunaurd, Imusa’s president, said empanadas are shaping up to be the next major food trend. “The portable and versatile empanada…has the potential to be as popular in the U.S. as tacos and wraps,” Gaunaurd said.
