ROSEMONT, Ill.-The International Housewares Association will hold the 2014 Global Forum on June 17-18 in Chicago, featuring overviews from housewares retailers from around the world and sessions on international business issues.
Sponsored also by the International Business Council, the group of IHA members dedicated to boosting their international business, the Global Forum will include market discussions by retailers from four countries. These will include The Homewares Group in Australia, Etna of Brazil, UTC from the Czech Republic and Safat Home of Kuwait.
The conference schedule also includes a session presented by Johnathan Knowles, CEO of Type 2 Consulting, titled “Rethinking the 4 Ps.” In this Knowles will detail how the traditional four Ps of marketing—product, price, place and promotion—have fostered narrow, product-focused strategies in today’s business-to-business environment. He will also describe how, working in partnership with Thunderbird School of Global Management Professor Rich Ettenson and using insights from a five-year study of more than 500 managers and customers in multiple countries and across a wide range of business-to-business industries, he has reframed the four Ps to SAVE: Solutions, Access Value and Education.
