As part of its alliance with Keurig, Cuisinart has brought to market its Single Serve Brewing System—which is designed to work specifically with Keurig’s signature K-Cup portion packs.
Cuisinart’s unit provides five different cup-size settings, including one for iced beverages, and an adjustable temperature control to assure that the desired temperature is used. Consumers can choose from Keurig’s more than 200 K-Cup varieties, or can use the My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter, which can be filled with any ground coffee. The Single Serve Brewing System also has a hot-water button for a cup of soup, tea, instant coffee or hot cocoa in less than a minute.
“Our partnership with Keurig is a whole new venture for us,” said Mary Rodgers, director of marketing communications for Cuisinart. “Single serve is an area with a big opportunity for us. It’s one of the fastest-growing categories in coffee.”
