ROSEMONT, Ill.-The 2014 International Home + Housewares Show has been sold out, according to a statement from the International Housewares Association, owner and operator of the show.
Phil Brandl, IHA’s president and CEO, said this is the earliest that the show has been sold out; it is now less than 10 weeks until the show’s opening day, March 15. The show will host more than 2,100 exhibitors, including 400 new companies that will be exhibiting for the first time.
Among the features of the show will be Savor Home, a revitalized gourmet food and specialty products category. Located between Discover Design and Tabletop in the Dine + Design Expos in the South building of McCormick Place, Savor Home will spotlight the Cooking Theater, design-inspired wine accessories, gourmet food products and home-entertaining themes.
Other show highlights will include Discover Design, with design-focused and innovative companies; the Hall of Global Innovation featuring special exhibits such as Pantone ColorWatch, Going Green, the third annual IHA Innovation Awards, the Global Innovation Awards (gia) and the IHA Student Design Competition; the Innovation Theater with 20 presentations about design, social media, consumer lifestyle trends and new platforms for product launches; and educational seminars led by Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, and Tom Mirabile, senior vice president of global trend and design for Lifetime Brands and contributing editor for Pantone View.
