NEW YORK–Haier America has realigned its business structure, creating three product business divisions to better focus its areas of business: the Air Conditioning Group (ACG), the White Goods Group (WGG), and the Digital Products Group (DPG). Each division will be fully responsible for profit and loss, product development, sales and marketing, quality, service, compliance, planning and purchasing, while shared services include finance, administration, logistics, information technology, legal, and branding and creative.
“This new direction for Haier enables integration from end to end at all levels and presents common objectives supported by a shared road map, while clearly defining measurements and performance throughout the organization,” said Shariff Kan, president of Haier America.
The White Goods Group will be led by Bob Cunningham, executive vice president, who has been with the company since 2008 and previously served as senior vice president of Major Appliances-Product Innovations and Engineering. Cunningham has more than 30 years of experience in the white goods appliance industry.
The Air Conditioning Group will be led by Lintao Lu, executive vice president, who has been with the company since 2003 and previously served as senior vice president of Compact Appliances and Home Comfort-Product Innovations and Engineering. Lu has more than 25 years of experience in the air conditioning industry.
The Digital Products Group will continue to be led by Douglas Lane, president, who joined the company in July of 2010 with more than 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry.
