IVYLAND, Penn.–Housewares company Fox Run has agreed to acquire Outset, a grilling and entertaining accessories company, for an undisclosed amount.
“This is a great opportunity for Fox Run to add a few key components to our brand strategy — products we do not offer today, powerful high profile brands, and two people in Jeff Norling and Curt Anderson who have demonstrated a proven ability to recognize opportunity, develop unique products and execute placement at a high level,” said Sean Leonard, chief executive officer, Fox Run Brands.
Leonard told HFN that Norling and Anderson will remain in their current positions, overseeing all of the Outset brands. Outset’s expanding portfolio of licenses now includes Kingsford, Tyler Florence and, most recently Guy Fieri, which will launch 18 grilling skus at the next International Home + Housewares Show.
“Our approach at Outset has always been focused on product and service,” said Norling, who co-founded the company along with Anderson. “While we pride ourselves on these core values, we recognize our ability to continually improve in that regard. Fox Run and Outset complement one another in such ways that will allow us to focus more narrowly on bringing great products to market while improving service to our customers at all levels.”
