NEWTON, Mass., and MENTOR, Ohio—Euro-Pro and Guardian Technologies have both made Inc. magazine’s fifth annual 5000 list of fastest-growing privately held companies.
With its revenue increase of 135 percent from 2007 to 2010, to $719.2 million, Euro-Pro ranked 1,909th on the list, moving up more than 2,300 spots since it first appeared on the Inc. 5000 in 2009. The company markets floor-care products under the Shark brand and small electrics under the Ninja brand. In a company statement, Euro-Pro said it is continuing its aggressive growth strategy with the introduction of new products under both brands: The Shark Navigator Lift-Away vacuum and the Shark Professional Steam Pocket Mop in floor care, and the Ninja Kitchen System (combining a blender, food processor and mixer) and the Ninja Pulse, a smaller version of the Kitchen System that is slated to debut in the coming months.
Guardian finished 3,881st on the list with an increase of 33 percent in revenue from 2007 to 2010, to $13.7 million. The company markets home health and sanitation products under the germguardian, pureguardian and petpure trademarked brands.
