SAN DIEGO–Ergo Chef has partnered with celebrity restaurateur Tony Luke, known for his Philly-style sandwiches and his chain of restaurants called Tony Luke’s, to create a multipurpose kitchen knife.
“Ergo Chef is very excited to be working with Tony Luke, Jr. We feel this will open up doors to another demographic in the marketplace, which we have not reached with our products until now,” said Ergo Chef Owner Michael Staib. “We are very excited to see what we can, and will create together.”
A 7-inch serrated multi-use knife has been designed for a wide range of cutting work. It is made from Japanese carbon stainless steel and has an ergonomically designed handle with a non-slip grip.
“I came across Ergo Chef knives at a show in California. Took one back with me to Philly and used it for a while in my kitchen,” Luke said in a statement. “The knife was ergonomic and functional for working all sorts of cuts in my kitchens both at home and in the restaurants. I wanted to create an affordable quality multipurpose knife that the average home cook could use on just about anything. Ergo Chef knew where I was coming from, and when the concept knife came in, it was perfect.”
