NEW YORK–KitchenAid and De’Longhi USA are among a group of manufacturers that are planning to return to the Gourmet Housewares Show when it relocates to Las Vegas this coming May.
Among the other returning companies are Deni/Keystone, iSi North America, John Ritzenthaler, Kuhn-Rikon, Kyocera, Polder, Revol, Robinson Home, Scanpan, Wusthof and Zwilling J.A. Henckels.
According to a statement from George Little Management, owner of the trade show, KitchenAid will be exhibiting at the 2008 show after being absent for the past seven years. KitchenAid decided to return, according to Marty Armstrong, director of worldwide sales and trade marketing, “primarily to reach out to the independent gourmet retailers with new programs and opportunities specifically designed for them. … We feel we can continue to grow with this important retail sector, and we see this show as an opportunity to renew a personal dialogue with them.”
De’Longhi is coming back to exhibit at the show after missing it in both 2006 and 2007. In the GLM statement, Jim McCusker, the company’s president, said De’Longhi’s return to the show is a way of “expressing our sincere commitment to the gourmet specialty trade. It will also allow us the opportunity to introduce our new and exciting products.”
The show is slated for May 6 to 8 at the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas, and will be co-located with two other GLM shows—the Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor shows.
