STAMFORD, Conn.-Cuisinart has garnered two awards for the recent redesign of its website, cuisinart.com, for use on the iPad.
The housewares brand has earned a Platinum 2012 MarCom Award from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals, and a Silver 2012 LACP Spotlight Award in the digital/iPad application category from the League of American Communications Professionals. The optimized website provides consumers with Cuisinart’s complete product offerings, product demonstration videos, recipes and user manuals. It also allows users to search for recipes by meal and by ingredients, and to compare the contents of their pantries against recipes in Cuisinart’s database and generate an ingredient list for selected recipes.
Mary Rodgers, Cuisinart’s director of marketing communications, said, “Our new iPad-optimized site allows us to deliver multiple resources to our consumers to help them plan meals, cook more easily and learn about our products while using their preferred devices.”
Both awards were based on similar criteria: creativity, message clarity, technique, design and overall impressions.
