STAMFORD, Conn.—Cuisinart recently received a Gold Hermes Creative Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) for its innovative New Products Brochure. The brochure highlighted the company’s 2012 spring introductions, which included the Oven Central; Motorized, Lever-Less Toasters and the Power Trio High-Torque Blender.
Cuisinart’s brochure provided the media with story angles and related trend information, along with accompanying artwork and graphic design in the tradition of an infographic.
Additionally, the Cuisinart brochure included a USB drive that contained a virtual press kit, complete with written press materials, high resolution images, product spec sheets and background information. The goal of the press piece was to provide the media with an overview of Cuisinart’s latest products, while offering content that can be seamlessly integrated into stories, segments or columns. The brochure debuted at the 2012 International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago, which is among the largest trade shows in the industry.
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition honoring creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies. The Gold Award is presented to those entries deemed to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. More than 4,600 entries throughout the United States and many other countries were submitted, and only 19 percent of the entries received this accolade.
