CONGERS, N.Y.-Rob Moser, president of Casabella, took on the ice-bucket challenge in support of efforts to find a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Moser received his dousing from Dawn Drescher, the company’s product manager, on Aug. 21. Casabella is also running a promotion on its website. With each purchase of a bucket on casabella.com, the company will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to alsa.org, the website for the ALS Association, which is committed to finding a cure for the disease. Moser will add a personal, unspecified contribution to the proceeds as well.

The Casabella promotion will run through Sept. 1. According to a statement by the ALS Association, the organization has received $79.7 million in donations from the ice bucket challenge, as of today.
