ELGIN, Ill.—Blueair has begun assembly of two models of air purifiers at its manufacturing plant here.
In a company statement, Bengt Rittri, founder and president of Blueair, said the company is “happy to provide jobs in the U.S. market and assemble our high-quality air purifiers there.” The two units, models 603 and 650E, are new to the market. The latter was recently certified by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers with the highest clear-air delivery rates (CADR) attainable by an air purifier, the statement said, adding that the CADR measures the number of cubic feet of air per minute that an air purifier cleans of a specific material.
Based in Stockholm, Blueair introduced its first model to the U.S. market 10 years ago.
