ROSEMONT, Ill.–The Housewares Charity Foundation has added two honorees to its 11th annual gala: Renee Behnke, president emeritus, Sur La Table, will be honored as Humanitarian of the Year, and Burton Tansky, chairman and chief executive officer, The Neiman Marcus Group, will receive the inaugural Design and Fashion Leadership Award. It previously announced Thierry de LaTour d’Artaise, chairman and chief executive officer, Groupe SEB, will receive the Lifetime Humanitarian Award during the event.
The gala, to be held March 17, will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the HCF’s legacy charity, and America’s Second Harvest. It will be held at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers.
