CANONSBURG, Pa.–After almost 10 years of development, All-Clad Metalcrafters has introduced its latest line of cookware: Stainless with d5 Technology. The new collection features five-ply bonding technology, which consists of layers of stainless and aluminum with an inner core of stainless. All-Clad’s traditional stainless line was made of three-ply construction. The company said that the new line offers 20 percent more even heating over traditional bonded cookware and is optimized for induction cooktops, among other features. The new line’s designs include larger lid handles, a larger side helper handle on several pieces, a gripping notch on the long handle, and rounded pouring edges.
The line will be sold exclusively at a specialty retail chain later this month.
“We believe home cooks will really enjoy the significant benefits that Stainless with d5 Technology offers,” said Melissa Palmer, vice president, marketing communications, Groupe SEB High-End Brands. “The added inner-core layer of stainless delivers superior cooking performance, differentiating us from our competitors who have attempted to mimic our original tri-ply bonding process.”
All-Clad’s Culinary Council has been testing the new line for the past six months, with positive feedback, the company said.
