NEW YORK–William Tracy has been named chief operating officer of Fortunoff.
Tracy was most recently chief operating officer for Nine West Footwear Corp. Prior to joining Nine West Corp., he was the senior vice president of store operations for Lord & Taylor. He began his career with Abraham and Straus Department Stores, where he held a number of positions.
At Fortunoff, William will oversee information systems, human resources, security and inventory control, warehousing, customer service, facilities and engineering, and store operations. He will report to Arnie Orlick, Fortunoff’s chief executive officer.
Howard Meitiner, the former chief operating officer, left the company more than a year ago.
