CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Hector Torres has been appointed vice president of marketing and product development at Perfect Fit. He succeeds Allen Robinson, who has left the company.
In his new position, Torres is responsible for the marketing, design and development of the company's basic bedding products, and will be involved in expanding Perfect Fit's international sourcing, product offerings and new brand opportunities. He reports to Jeff Chilton, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Before joining Perfect Fit, Torres was vice president and general manager of sportswear with VF Corp. of Greensboro, N.C., responsible for the design and merchandise team that developed and executed brand and product strategy for several of VF's business units.
