NEW YORK–The first of this year’s two New York Home Fashions Markets formally opens today, with a whole spate of brand launches from some of the industry’s major players.

In decorative bedding, among the highlights this week are the launch of Revman’s most recent licensed bedding program, this one with designer Kevin O’Brien. Branded as The Tallulah Collection by Kevin O’Brien, this week’s debut consists of four duvet ensembles, each with coordinating decorative pillows and a signature burn-out velvet coverlet, along with shams in different colorways. Also in decorative bedding, CHF Industries will be expanding its licensed bedding collections with kate spade new york and Donna Karan Home.

Beach towels will be a major focus this week. On tap from Home Source International will be its newest licensed towel collection with Coca-Cola. In addition, Loftex will unveil two vividly colored, whimsically designed collections of beach towels, Monster Mash and Elefriends.

In basic bedding, along with new product introductions, Hollander is theming its showroom around American Renewal. The showroom will focus on the importance of local communities, support for local businesses and how consumers feel about community—and the role Hollander is playing in fostering the sense of community.

The focus at the Pacific Coast Feather showroom this week will be on innovation. The company is expanding its bed-pillow and mattress-pad lineup with products filled with Micro Gel patented fiberfill in its Excell and PureForm collections. The Sheex utility-bedding line is also being expanded with the Air Performance mattress pad and comforter.
