Cachet Licenses with Peking Handicraft
Courtney Cachet, the designer and TV personality, is the latest design maven to partner with Peking Handicraft.
The company, which already has a long roster of designer licenses, reached an agreement with Cachet earlier this year for a line of down-filled, embroidered decorative pillows. The line features Cachet’s signature designs combining modern prints and vibrant colors—a style that mirrors her “positive and energetic attitude,” according to a Peking Handicraft statement. The pillows will be priced at retail between $70 and $130.
Cachet is a regular contributor about design for NBC and Huffington Post Style. She is also working on the pilot for her own style show. She has also appeared on MSNBC, the DIY Network, Better TV and HSN.
“[Peking Handicraft] has a stellar reputation in the industry for their expertise in sourcing and manufacturing only the finest textile products for the home decor market,” Cachet said. “Our goals and dedication to providing consumers with the highest quality of super-stylish interior design items makes this a very synergistic partnership.”
Cachet’s deal with the company places her alongside designers such as Amy Brazil, D.L. Rhein, Judith Hardenbrook, Mary Lake Thompson and Trina Turk, all of whom have licensed collections with Peking Handicraft.
Waverly, Trend Lab Sign License for Infant, Toddler Collection
Waverly, which has been one of the textiles industry’s signature brands for 90 years, will appear as a brand on infant and toddler home products beginning early next year.
The brand, now owned by Iconix Brand Group, signed a license agreement with Trend Lab for a collection of infant and toddler bedding, coordinating room decor, gift items and diaper bags earlier this year. Called Waverly by Trend Lab, the collection will be sold to mid-tier retail channels including department stores, specialty stores and select online retailers beginning in early 2014.
The design of the moderately priced line will marry Waverly’ lifestyle patterns with Trend Lab’s contemporary looks.
Founded in 2001, Trend Lab is a privately held, certified women-owned business based in Minnesota. Its core belief is “that new parents desire sophisticated ... nursery decor to flow with their home decor,” the statement said.
Trend Lab’s product offerings have since expanded to include bedding, accessories, home decor, gift items, bags and pet products.
