NEW YORK–The business dimension of professional art and design will be the highlight of the Surtex 2008 show, May 18 to 20, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here.
Attendees will have access to nine seminars addressing general business, licensing and trends.
In a statement issued this morning, Surtex noted that the licensing seminars will explore art licensing basics, licensing agreements, copyright protection, and the pros and cons of working with an agent.
Business seminars will focus on marketing and promotion, state-of-the-art graphic technology and ways to “keep art fresh,” according to a statement.
The trend series will look at global lifestyle trends, and key colors, textures and patterns for 2009.
Milou Ket Styling & Design of the Netherlands and Parisian-based Promostyl will headline the conference program. Scheduling and registration information is available online at surtex.com.
