FORT MILL, S.C.–Springs Global has restructured into two distinct business units.
Joe Granger will head the company’s Branded Business unit, which oversees its Springmaid and Wamsutta brands along with its licenses, Walt Disney World, Court of Versailles and Serta, among others. Harvey Simon is in charge of the Private Label business unit, which encompasses the company’s private-label products. Both executives report to Tom O’Connor, group president of Springs Global U.S.
A Springs statement released this afternoon said the two new units will be supported by a shared-services organization led by Flavio Barbosa, chief financial officer; and a creative organization under Edward Cardimona, chief creative officer.
Granger comes to Springs from Ralph Lauren Home, where he was senior vice president of the Lauren, RL Paint, American Living and Chaps brands, and oversaw all aspects of Ralph Lauren Home’s licensed businesses in multiple channels. Simon, a 15-year Springs veteran, most recently led all merchandising for the company’s bedding unit.
In the statement, O’Connor said the new organization is centered around Springs’ brands and its efforts to make those brands and its store brands relevant to the consumer.
