WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–The August New York Home Textiles Market Week will present a full schedule of educational seminars, special events and promotions.
The seminars will deal with topics such as color trends, sustainability, social media marketing and best business practices during a slow economy. Among the special events are the 58th Annual Retailer Excellence Awards; a Hawaiian luau reception held by 7 West New York, the showroom building; the Best New Product Awards in the bed, bath, dining and home accessories categories; and the “SustainAbility, design for a better world” program with products that are environmentally conscious and socially responsible. The promotions include free access for market participants to Zagat.com, which provides Zagat ratings and reviews of restaurants by cuisine, location and special features.
The summer New York Home Textiles Market Week runs from Friday, Aug. 14, to Thursday, Aug. 20. Owned and managed by GLM, it takes place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 7 West New York and 230 Fifth Ave., all in New York.
