NEW YORK–Al Meyers, senior vice president of research firm Retail Forward, will be the featured speaker at the annual meeting of the Home Fashion Products Association.
Meyers will talk about the changes in retailing, given the slowdown in the global economy and the recession in the United States. He will describe the market fundamentals that both retailers and manufacturers will have to address as they work through the current environment. He will also provide his insights as to when the recovery in retail will begin, and what companies need to do to position themselves for the recovery.
The HFPA annual meeting will take place on Thursday, Nov. 12, at the 7 W New York showroom building, beginning at 9 a.m.
